CSIRO’s Manufacturing Business Unit brings together multi-disciplinary scientific and engineering capabilities using world-class infrastructure to partner with industry in order to develop innovative products and processes to allow Australian manufacturers to be globally competitive and environmentally sustainable.
Reporting to the Group Leader for Regulated Biomanufacturing, the role of the Upstream Manufacturing Lead will be provide strategic technical leadership in the manufacture of vaccines and recombinant proteins as synthesised in prokaryotic and eukaryotic culture systems. Your role would require both, engaging with clients to secure projects as well as facilitating the transfer and execution of new fermentation and cell culture protocols into the Regulated Biomanufacturing laboratories. You will have a key advisory role in decision concerning scientific as well as technology direction. Apply your specialist expertise to solve complex problems within a discipline of advanced fermentation and/or cell culture science for manufacturing of new vaccines and biotherapeutics in a diverse range of expression hosts.
