We are looking for a passionate, empathetic Support Worker with a can-do attitude and positive growth mindset to join our vibrant team at Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) Lifestyles, on a Casual basis.

We are looking to grow the team and are recruiting 3 new team members for the Hunter region! There are morning, day, evening and night shift available - it will depend of what you are looking for and the flexibility you need - apply now.

About the role
Your role centres on supporting people with disability to live meaningful lives, and actively drive their own decisions and goals.
Some things our clients love doing:

  • Expressing themselves through creative mediums e.g. art, cooking, gardening
  • Selling or exhibiting things they’ve created to the community
  • Maintaining their health and wellbeing e.g. yoga, gym

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting clients to build new skills through the delivery of person-centred, innovative programs such as arts & craft, music, health & fitness
  • Assisting clients with mealtimes, personal care and medication
  • Accompanying clients on community access, such as social events, recreation or sporting activities
  • Supporting clients with transport e.g. using CPA minivan


Requirements

  • Available for Friday and Saturday shifts (this is a minimum requirement - there are 30+ hours available if you wish)
  • Minimum P2 driver’s license
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities to reach their goal
