An exciting permanent opportunity to join as a Business Analyst for a 12- month Fixed term contract

This role will be responsible for acting as the intermediary between end-users and IT to ensure that business/user requirements are delivered in IT solutions and ensuring stability, availability and reliability of production platforms and applications through the planning and execution of functionally based user testing.

Key Tasks

• Create a good understanding of the business needs and strategies in order to support the development of high-quality business analysis artefacts that underpin effective IT solution delivery
• Accountable for the creation of business analysis artefacts such as requirements, functional specifications, application/process workflows, use cases, screen mock-ups, user stories, integration mapping and technical impact assessments
• Provide information to others regarding the business analysis artefacts in order to support IT solution design, development, testing and implementation activities
• Ensure that that business analysis artefacts take an end to end perspective, fully meet the desired business objectives and consider operational support processes
• Collaborates with business subject matter experts to form a good understanding of business needs, existing and future processes as well as problems that need to be resolved during the IT delivery
• Provides support and counsel to developers, testers, and others regarding business and technical requirements throughout the solution delivery cycle to ensure quality, timely outcomes
• Analyse system automation processes in conjunction with HCF priorities, provide recommendations for system improvements
• Assist implementing and testing solutions.
• Meet with user groups to gather and analyze end user requirements
• Analyze workflow to create process maps, user stories and use cases, and isolate areas of potential improvement
• Collaborate to ensure that the business needs are understood, translated into requirement deliverables for use in the development of solutions

Essentials
• Degree qualified in IT, Business, Science, Engineering or Economics
• As a Business Analyst experience working all phases of systems development lifecycle using Waterfall, Agile/Scrum and hybrid application development environments
• Good understanding of the principles of SDLC
• Demonstrated track record of delivering excellent and high-quality technical and functional business analysis artefacts
• Experience working in in an agile environment reviewing business needs and priorities as well as understanding of the principles of project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on effective client relationships
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage time, and competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work well in a team environment – collaboration within and across teams is critical
• Effective communication skills, ability to engage with stakeholders across IT and the Business
• At least 5-7 years’ experience as Business Analyst in IT, Business Analysis space in a commercial IT environment
• Willingness to learn new technology skills to keep pace with the improvements and ever-changing business priorities.
• Experience working on JIRA/Confluence/Trello/Atlassian suite
• Experience working on CRM systems

Desirable

• Health Insurance Business knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of PHI products and processes
• Exposure to health insurance policy management systems
