ITS Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Electrician on our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract, you will maintain, fault find, and upgrade Traffic Signal, ITS, and Streetlighting equipment/systems. 

1 x permanent full-time position working 6am to 2pm. There is a requirement of night shift once per month, to be on call after hours one day per week and provide coverage over the weekend once a month.

The successful applicant will be Sydney based working across the following areas - Campbeltown, Liverpool, Fairfield and surrounds, as well as Penrith through to the Blue Mountains.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain traffic signals and ITS equipment 
  • Comply with statutory requirements and the contract or project management systems
  • Implement and comply with the site OH&S requirements as per Ventia policy
  • Participate in the “on-call” and relief service obligation
  • Participate in training to improve capabilities required for the contract or project
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures
  • Participate in the review of operational and maintenance procedures
  • Support the Asset Manager and ITS Asset Engineer for the delivery of Asset Management Planning Services across the project 
  • Other tasks as defined by the ITS Supervisor

 
About you

  • Relevant trade experience and electrical licence is a must have 
  • Experience in ITS and/or traffic signals is a must  
  • Valid driver’s license is a must
  • White card is a must
  • Ability to provide outside of hours assistance whenever required
