Seamsperson / Customer Service

About the Role:
As a Seamsperson/Customer Service team member, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, where your love for sewing and helping others will shine. No professional experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! This role will work within our contract for the Australian Defence Force where you'll work under general supervision, either independently or as part of a team, to perform a range of tasks.
- Permanent Full-Time Role | $28.86 per hour + Super
- 7:30 am - 4:00 pm | Monday – Friday
- Work with the Australian Defence Force Contract in RAAF Oakey
What You’ll Do:
- Sew rank badges, medals, and insignias with care and precision
- Perform basic clothing alterations like hemming
- Assist with tailoring measurements of customers
- Help clients & customers by assisting with outfitting and kitting of clothing
- Maintain accurate work order records and clothing inventory
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for sewing and a desire to learn more
- Experience with hand stitching or sewing machines is a plus, but not mandatory
- A friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Current licence and reliable transport (Required)
*Must be eligible to hold a Defence baseline security clearance. As a result of this requirement, the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
