Site Supervisor
New Year – New opportunity - Join Ventia’s Fixed Networks Team in Townsville as a Site Supervisor. Previous experience on the NBN/Telstra network is required. The role is commences on the 13th of January 2025.

About the Role
You will direct a team of multi disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities. Travel area covers Northern QLD.
Key responsibilities include aspects of:

Safety and Environment – ensuring a strong safety culture, addressing incidents swiftly, communications (toolboxes, pre-starts, safety alerts), adherence to policies and procedures and ensure required permits are issued on time

Program and Resource Management – construction walk-outs, planning, scoping and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently and delivered on time. Management of subcontractors, escalating issues and daily inspection of all staff and works. Reporting and liaising with stakeholders. Ensuring practical completions are completed and submitted on time. Deficiencies or defects are rectified timeously etc.

Quality – promote no re-work, perform quality audits, ensure contractual compliancy is met

Community and Stakeholder Involvement – understand the community and stakeholder requirements from the FSA Management and actively manage these requirements on site during construction

Leadership – foster a team culture of ownership and excellence
About You
Your personal drive will see you succeed along with:
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in related industry / construction
- Trade qualification or supervisory qualifications preferred
- Competent computer skills
- Current drivers’ licence
- Construction white card
- Asbestos management, Traffic control, first aid – preferred (or willingness to undertake training)
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
