About the position:
An exciting opportunity exists for an Outage Manager (Planning & Governance) to join our high performing Major Overhauls team in the Murray Region, NSW. This role is responsible for scoping, planning and scheduling for the successful delivery of Major Overhaul works, as well as the development, governance and assurance of a structured Major Overhaul Framework in accordance with Snowy Hydro’s Quality and WHSE standards and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expertise and guidance to the teams in the development of detailed scopes of work, technical specifications, quality requirements and risk assessments.
- Providing major generator and turbine outage subject matter expertise for the planning and execution of site works within Snowy Hydro.
- Development of a standardised Major Overhauls framework including scoping & planning timeframes, responsibilities, templates and management plans that provide a consistent approach to the scoping and planning of overhauls.
- Supporting the overhaul execution teams with oversight of the quality assurance, scheduling and logistics resources and assurance requirements.
- Working with key stakeholders to lead the development of overhaul schedules and a long term integrated major overhaul schedule.
- Setting context, purpose and role clarity for team members, contractors and stakeholders.
- Development of direct reports through coaching, mentoring, training, instruction, advice and by direct example.
- Demonstrating the highest level of health and safety standards in accordance with Snowy Hydro’s OHS policies and exhibiting behaviours consistent with the Snowy Hydro Values.
About you:
- Advanced computer skills and extensive experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems), preferably Ellipse and MS Project.
- Excellent technical writing skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong technical background with significant experience in planning and scheduling maintenance work within a heavy and capital intensive industry.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Advanced Diploma or Trade Qualification with significant project or maintenance management experience.
- Must have experience in Project Management, Overhaul Management, Turnaround, Shutdown or Maintenance Management.
- Extensive background in safety and people leadership managing large scale outages.
- Project management experience, including the management of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing work scope and budgets.
- Superior knowledge of Quality, OH&S, EEO and Environmental policies, procedures and standards.
