About the role:
The Operational Engineer is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of Unitwater’s water, sewer, and recycled water networks. This role involves conducting fault analysis and resolution, reviewing and optimising network performance, and providing expert input into asset renewals and upgrades to ensure best practices are followed.
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
- Engineering degree (Civil/Mechanical) or equivalent applied experience.
- Expertise in fault analysis and operation of hydraulic networks, with knowledge of water and sewer utility regulations and protocols.
- Proven success in delivering technical solutions under pressure through systematic problem-solving and confident decision-making.
- Strong ability to complete tasks and delegate priorities to manage operational risks effectively.
- Skilled in multitasking and time management to meet critical priorities.
- Ability to balance technical, commercial, and customer needs.
- Effective communication of technical topics in business terms.
- Experience collaborating across teams and multiple interfaces.
- Ability to participate in an on-call roster.
- Valid C Class Driver’s License.
