About the role: 
As a Works Planner – Electrical, you’ll lead the planning and coordination of preventative and corrective maintenance across a large operational area. Your work will help ensure essential infrastructure runs safely, efficiently, and in line with drinking water and regulatory standards—supporting reliability, resource optimisation, and a quality customer experience. Your key responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Prioritise and allocate work across Field Services and Mech / Elec teams, providing fully planned work packs to schedulers
  • Scope and estimate jobs, ensuring accurate resourcing and lead times
  • Collaborate with operations, treatment plant, engineering, and isolation planning teams to minimise downtime
  • Track work progress, manage variations, and ensure accurate data in maintenance systems
  • Promote safe work practices and identify future maintenance needs using dashboards and stakeholder insights

  
About you:

  • Ideally you will have an electrical trade background and / or electrical planning experience, or qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or the Water Industry.
  • Previous experience in multidisciplinary planning and coordinating field maintenance across large and / or varied asset portfolios
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly to align stakeholders on requirements and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to produce outcomes
  • Ability to analyse high-level data to plan future work and optimise resources
  • Proficiency with maintenance systems like Maximo, SAP PM, Ellipse or similar
  • Solid understanding of water utility operations and regulatory obligations
  • A flexible, problem-solving mindset and ability to manage changing priorities
