Customer Service / Call Dispatch Operator


Due to promotions within our Ventia Operations Centre (VOC), we are seeking vibrant, highly engaged and experience Call Dispatchers top join our team.

Our 24/7 centre is located in our brand-new offices in Cremorne, in the heart of Richmond, Melbourne.

The Ventia Operations Centre work closely with a diverse range of customers who are active participants of several front-line public services and sectors across Australia & New Zealand.

The role of the Dispatch Operator will be required to be available for 12 Hour Shifts on a 24/7 365 Rotating Roster and required on site one all shifts.

A day in the life of our Dispatch Operator
Provide high-quality customer service by telephone and email. Calls will range in complexity but predominantly be taking requests for maintenance work and following a process to create & dispatch work order requests.


You can expect to:

  • Respond to high volume inbound/outbound activities from members of the community or technicians / contractors
  • Monitor and optimise work order outcomes
  • Providing a positive customer experience
  • Matching customer needs to solutions
  • Manage the customer experience through dispatching work orders
  • Case management of service outcomes/managing urgent or high priority work order needing fast resolution
  • Maintain and update various databases, spreadsheets, and documents

What you bring to the role;

  • Previous experience in one of the above-mentioned roles with a strong passion for delivering a quality customer service
  • Proven ability working within a similar environment working with multiple customers and leading large teams (For Lead and Management positions)
  • Must be tech savvy, have strong computer application skills; MS Office, SAP or similar
  • Resilience when dealing with challenging activities
  • You enjoy a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • You bring your best to work every day
