Electronics Technician - Defence

A great opportunity for a Electronics Technician to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Puckapunyal VIC, north of Melbourne
This is not your typical assembly line Electronics Technician role. This unique position allows you to step away from the work bench and step into the field completing fault tracing and part replacement on Defence weapons and vehicles.   
Within this role you will gain experience working on control systems which only working with the Defence can offer. Turn your passion for electronics and problem solving into an exciting and rewarding career with us.

•    $45.27 an hour inclusive of allowances  
•    Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays

About the role   
•    Performing system checks on weapons & vehicles, communications, combat management systems and sensor equipment to ensure equipment is in full working order 
•    Effectively diagnose electronic faults and fix to ensure operations are running smoothly 
•    You will adhere to all regulatory and contract specific requirements 
•    You'll gain exposure to many different systems and machinery. These include RADAR systems and display, Surveillance and Control Equipment & Satellite equipment (GPS, SATCOM) 
   
About you   
•    Minimum requirement: Cert III Electronics or Cert III Electronic Technology 
•    Knowledge and practical experience on complex communication and/or electronic systems maintenance, support, design, or installation 
•    Exhibit strong mechanical and electronic/electrical aptitude 
•    You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
