Facility and Asset Coordinator


The Opportunity
Ventia is seeking an experienced Facilities & Asset Coordinator to provide key support for our facilities and asset management operations at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, assisting the Senior Facilities & Asset Manager to ensure the effective and efficient management of facilities, maintenance, and compliance.

This is a permanent full-time position onsite at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woodville, SA 5011.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client/Contractor Interface: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and contractors, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.
  • Breakdown Work Orders: Liaise with contractors to ensure breakdown work orders are addressed promptly and follow up on additional required works.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Review and manage statutory and non-statutory maintenance, ensuring timely completion of work orders and corrective actions.    
  • SHEQ Compliance: Conduct monthly SHEQ interactions to maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Administration & Reporting: Manage AGFMA inbox, prepare quarterly reports, assist with Legionella reporting, and maintain SharePoint documentation.
  • Roster Management: Coordinate and manage the on-call roster to ensure adequate coverage.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in facilities management, asset coordination, or a similar administrative role within a healthcare or facilities setting is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and contractor liaison.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and reporting, with a focus on compliance and safety.
  • Willing to complete pre-employment checks including (but not limited to) medical questionnaire and Police check. 
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or be willing to obtain)
