Finance Manager T2D


Ventia are currently seeking a Finance Manager to Mobilise and optimise the financial systems and processes that support the Torrens to Darlington contract in South Australia. This role will see you in a permanent fulltime role based in Flinders Street, Adelaide. 

The responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:

  • Accountability for the core finance activities on the contract such as financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, forecasting and budgeting, and financial accounting.
  • Development of performance improvement plans (PIP’s) and R&O for the project and related tracking/reporting. 
  • Establishment of initial revenue recognition and implementation of relevant processes and procedures to govern the contract successfully. 
  • Establishment of tracking of mobilisation to tender assumptions and related reporting. 
  • Optimise the financial systems to suit business needs and ensure smooth mobilisation
  • Clear insights to performance based on data – gross margin, OH ratios, fixed/ variable costs, etc

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Accounting, Commerce etc.) or higher. 
  • CPA/CA qualified. 
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP
  • 8+ years' experience in project finance, and finance leadership roles. 
  • Previous experience in mobilising contracts. 
  • Current knowledge of relevant Accounting Standards
  • Demonstrated business partnering with non-finance personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement
