This position is paying up to $110,000 inclusive of superannuation

Ventia are seeking a HVAC & Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook, where you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of critical systems across the Defence Base Services contract. This role isn’t just about fixing air conditioning – it’s about ensuring the heart of our facilities keeps beating, with a diverse range of mechanical support tasks that keep things running at peak performance.
 

About the role:

  • Work Order Management: Opening, dispatching, reviewing, and closing service orders in both SAP and the Defence Estate Management System (DEMS), meeting performance targets
  • Supervision of HVAC Staff: Overseeing in-house trades staff for HVAC and general estate works (GEW) under the CMS contract, ensuring quality and efficiency
  • Subcontractor Management: Managing HVAC subcontractors for FP&E, EO, and GEW works.
  • Site Access Coordination: Arranging access, inductions, permits, and ensuring necessary documentation is available for staff and contractors
  • Cost & Budget Management: Managing budgets associated with the delivery of FP&E, EO, and GEW, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Supplier Relationships: Maintaining accounts with suppliers to ensure equipment and services are available for trades staff
  • Client Liaison: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key Client and Customer representatives on-base
  • Contract Compliance: Ensuring service delivery meets Contract requirements and KPIs

About you:

  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Proven experience in HVAC roles across residential, commercial, and industrial environments
  • Extensive background in AC maintenance, installations, and a comprehensive understanding of various AC systems and principles
  • Extensive fault-finding expertise with HVAC systems and hands on troubleshooting experience
  • Solid understanding and experience with applicable codes, standards, and industry regulations

The incumbent to this position must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting (baseline). As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
  
This position requires a National Police Clearance check and a valid Australian driver’s licence.
