Ventia are currently seeking an experienced RPEQ Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our newly awarded water contract, start your journey at Ventia and apply today!   

About the Contract   

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities. Ventia has been awarded a new water contract to deliver preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance along with Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentational services across the Seqwater network.   

Ventia will provide service excellence across 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager this role will provide mechanical engineering expertise to the corrective, preventative and reactive maintenance program. As the REPQ Mechanical Engineer you will provide technical advice to mechanical assets across the Seqwater network.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Undertake mechanical engineering investigations, designs and calculations 
  • Colloborate with planners/schedulers and internal teams to optimise efficiencies across the mechanical asset lifecycle  
  • Provide technical advice to the Capital Works team on maintenance programs  
  • RPEQ supervision and sign-off responsibilities in accordance with Qld Legislation. 
  • Prepare engineering reports and documentation  

About you 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • RPEQ registration with Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland 
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence. 
  • Engineering experience on mechanical assets such as gearboxes, hydraulic systems, actuators etc 
  • Experience on large maintenance programs, water infrastructure (Advantageous)
