About the role:
Reporting to our General Manager of Strategy & Customer we have an opportunity for a Senior Manager Strategy to join our team at Ventia. You will lead a team to manage the annual strategy cycle, supporting enterprise-wide alignment to our strategy, driving strategic implementation and leading market and competitor analysis and insights.
Based from our North Sydney corporate head office this role will work closely with the Ventia Executive Leadership team to drive the strategy roadmap, implementation of initiatives to align to our business goals.
We offer a flexible hybrid working environment with time in the office and work from home.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support GM Strategy and Customer to lead annual strategy cycle, including preparation of Executive Leadership Team and Board updates.
- Drive implementation, including translation of strategy into actionable initiatives with well defined strategic outcomes.
- Support business to maintain strategic alignment including embedding strategic activity filter working closely with sector strategy leads and the Corporate development team.
- Monitor track and report on progress identifying interventions as needed.
- Facilitate sector business unit functional sessions and lead communications to "bring the strategy to life".
- Tailor competitive intelligence and positioning to inform strategic decision making.
- Develop and maintaining industry networks to ensure Ventia is well informed of market opportunities.
- Monitor and help communicate long term trends, market size and outlook to identify growth opportunities.
About you:
- Degree qualifications within a relevant discipline.
- Well developed experience within strategy for a consulting or large complex corporate environment.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Strategy expertise including knowledge of frameworks, market analysis with the ability to understand the market landscape and how this shapes strategic business goals.
- Well informed knowledge of industry bodies, market research agencies and other external advisors.
- Supportive management style with demostrated experience leading a small team.
