Trade assistant


Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.

Ventia are seeking Trades Assistants to deliver facilities maintenance services at Austin Health.

This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with the potential of overtime available and an attractive pay rate of $37.47 per hour + super. 

Key responsibilities:

  • New installations and other minor reactive maintenance actions
  • Door and lock repairs,
  • Patching and painting
  • New installations and other minor reactive maintenance actions
  • Provide support to the site based trades as required to assist in the completion of reactive and planned maintenance
  • Maintain documentation to show repairs, modifications and additions through uploading of photographic records
  • Safely operate machinery and tools and assist in non-mechanical maintenance and construction as required

Skills and Experience required:

  • Trade Assistants experience
  • Any Trade Technical or Mechanical background
  • Drivers licence
  • White card
  • Safety and performance orientated
