Being a Senior Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work client-side with a skilled, multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, exciting, and diverse workplace.

In supporting the Civil & Conveyance Team, you will provide technical and field support in the operation, maintenance and improvement of the Conveyance Assets including but not limited to section valves, pipelines, pump stations and more.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn about our diverse assets that we work on from Perth to Harvey!

You will conduct technical assessments for the asset protection risk assessments.

This Role will report to the Manager - Water and will be responsible for undertaking engineering support to assist in the provision and management of the Conveyance Assets.

What the role will involve:

Provide technical engineering direction in management of the efficient operation, maintenance, and improvement of the IWSS infrastructure in accordance with Asset management plans, Divisional Management systems and corporate standards.

Leads relevant Asset Protection risk reviews, technical shutdown, outage coordination, technical work control input and participates in the planning and organisation of onsite Contracts works.

Provides technical input to the asset management plans, strategic IWSS infrastructure asset renewal assessments to maintain reliability of IWSS sources.

Support the operations and maintenance team to develop technical capability and competency.

Provide specialised technical advice on continuous improvements ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy, procedures, and standards.

Support the operation and monitoring of Water Corporation assets and assist with the preparation of technical reports and feedback for the Operations Manager on the maintenance performance.

Key skills and experience:

  • Degree level qualification in engineering or related civil/mechanical discipline
  • Substantial water related professional engineering experience in infrastructure maintenance and Operations.
  • Considerable experience in delivering optimal engineering for complex process industry operations and maintenance environment.
  • Considerable experience in strategic asset management planning supporting system enhancement and infrastructure project delivery in a major Water production utility.
  • Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
