About the role

We have a 12 month opportunity joining our Statewide Renewals team for a Senior Planner to develop products for the efficient delivery of our asset investment planning function. Whether you're experienced in asset management, project management or planning in any field and want to contribute to making WA a great place to work and live then consider this great role working with a high performing team. This role is based in our Leederville office reporting to our Team Leader - Statewide Renewals.

What the role will involve

  • Contribute to an integrated planning approach across the business to enable optimal decisions around timing and scope of investment, management of risk and customer service levels
  • Translation of asset management objectives into plans for investment to achieve an optimal balance between cost and risk and the specified level of service
  • Improving the “Asset Class Management Plans” that integrate planning, maintenance, and delivery opportunities.
  • Develop operating, regulatory, monitoring and maintenance plans to meet investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio
  • Develop investment programs, business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives
  • Scope and specify capital projects and operating work packages to enable service providers to meet relevant asset portfolio investment objectives

Key skills and experience

You’ll hold a degree or diploma qualification in an engineering discipline or similar, and have experience in the planning, design, acquisition, or operational delivery of asset investment programs. A background in planning, with water or wastewater infrastructure will be highly desirable. Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders will be important in this role. You’ll also have the opportunity to travel at least once a quarter to meet the team and maintain regional stakeholder relationships.
